right so get this stick with suction pad on it stick paste on it and keep spinning it like that guy until the surface is completely shiny like his?

yeah all from halfords, might even get a spring compressor, yer can make one out of a g cramp like the one in my rebuild thred,

yep

paste on the inner ring / seat of the valve, not the stick :doh: lol

till yer see a full shiny ring all the way round on both, might take a few mins to acheive it .

what about all the black crap around the bottom of the valves? where plugs go in should i use something to clean all this? and will rubbing these down not leave bits of fine metal lying around i dont exactly have an air blow gun or anything?

clean off with petrol , yer can clean the valve stems with the cutting paste, or wire wool , do it away from the heads, if yer want to blow it off , use the trye inflator at tesco fer 20P
