right now i know what they are i never dismantled the heads for being skimmed they skimmed them with all that attached so they wont be going on! i have done top and bottom rings on all injectors

so to do this i have to remove the bolts at top lift off then remove the springs etc and replace all parts dont i need a tool for the springs that i dont have?

if all yer replacing is yer valve seals, borrow a valve clamp off someone , even yer local small garage will lend one fer a £10 deposit usualy , ther bout £25 at machine mart

this is how i did it , dont loose the collets tho !

sorry you lost me again gav im getting heads back at around 8.30 am tomorrow but i dont want to be buying any more tools bought loads already lol can you explain in more detail?

thats a good link truckcab but i dont see any parts there that correspond to whats in the bags i got?

see theres no tolls shops or anything like that here i had to drive 30 miles to get tools the other day! thats why i dont really want to be doing it again? so are you all saying if i dont replace some of these valve bits tomorrow before fitting back together something will go wrong or will something happen soon etc?

using a grinding paste and dolly yer put the valves back from where they come , loose, put a rab of grinding paste on the rim and lap them in till thers a complete ring round the seat on the head and valve, yer can check with a drop of petrol to see if its a "water tight " seal !

those seals are to stop oil getting in to the engine via the valve stems,on your heads there is a good chance that yours will be brittle so changing them is a must really.

and these are the little blue plastic things with sprongs round them as thats the only thing i have 16 of
