Hello,

This is my first time at the forum.

My name is Frederico and I’m from Portugal.

I’m trying to find the part number from the rubber/seal that goes between the bulkhead and the lower dash (duct heater).

I’m posting a photo I found at the web with the rubber/seal I’m looking for.

Thanks in advanced.

Regards

Frederico

If fact it is.

The part I’m looking for is the one I’ve marked in yellow.

The problem is, I can’t find it at the parts catalogue.

Frederico

That’s the one million dollars question…

The Portuguese Land Rover parts seller can’t find it either.

Frederico

the rubber is on td5 bulkheads, I havent taken my 200tdi one apart yet. On td5 one it was rivetted onto the bulkhead. If its on the 200tdi, I'll probably be needing a new one as I wrecked the td5 one as I took it apart

Timtheenchanteruk,
It’s a simply hard rubber, but in my case, I think because of the heat, it’s completely damaged and following into peaces!
Bluehaze,
Sorry for using your photo without the right credits!
Where did you get the seal/rubber I’m looking for?

Can't be 100% sure - it was either on the bulkhead when I bought it (most likely), came with the dash or supplied by LRSeries (I used them for the rebuild).

If you can't find one fit some insulation over the area.

Use all the photos you like - I have lots that are not released yet.

After the help from Nick from Dunsfold the part number should be ETD102970, in this case for a LHD TD5, for the RHD TD5 it should be ETD102960.

Unfortunately the parts catalogue has no pictures of it and they are no longer available from Land Rover.

In fact I think it was way too much for it…

Maybe it’s made from a super special rubber!

It's very similar to the material used in the Haz kits. Except that the Haz has a aluminium cover on one side. Buy the kit, open up the green covers and cut the insulation to fit your needs.
