Right guys even though ive been to hell an back with my rangie now its all sorted im looking at investing in the RSW ALLCOMMS so in the future IF anything was to fail i can start investigating myself. What do the owners of this diagnostic tool think to it ? Is it worth buying ? One thing i was wondering is , when callibrating air suspension do you have to enter the wheel sizes in ? Reason i ask is that ive just watched an re-watched the youtube video and no where did he input any wheel sizes ? Am i right in understanding that 22" wheels are 25mm bigger than 20" so wen inputting my " measurements " id have to deduct this from the " actual " measurement or do i NOT NEED to make any alterations to my measurements ??? Cheers guys !!!
 
the video you watched is sort of the mk1 version and didnt have a box to input wheel sizes, you just had to do the maths if you had bigger wheels, but the latest version has the box to input up to 20in wheels if you have 22in you would input 20 and deduct 25mm of your measurments
 
its worth the money if you like tinkering about and trying to keep running costs down like most users on here. would be nice to have 80k spare for a new one and not have to worry about it lol

You used to be able to download the software without buying the kit so you could look at it but as some clown has been selling cloned devices that may no longer be the case. Worth checking though. You then have to get a code to enable the software to work with the unit you bought.:)

You may be able to download the software before you buy.
You get the code on line I believe.
I don't know about the instructions, I would expect them to be on line.:)
 
What you receive in the post is a USB cable with the OBD interface and hardware on the other end...

The Software can be downloaded and then activated using your email address you used when you purchased the All Comms.

It is certainly a handy little tool for reading and clearing faults, calibrating the EAS etc....obviously the Faultmate is far more advanced, but as a budget reader/resetter/calibrator the All Comms is great.

I have a 10" notebook, wireless mouse and the All Comms in a small flight Case in the boot for those times as needed....
 
Good idea saint v8 ! Just a thought if i were to calibrate suspension and not deduct the 25 mm in wheel sizes would it slightly lower it ? Reason i ask is because a few friends have rangies an love mine being slightly lower with the ride an less roll but they dont wanna pay the guy to do it? Also if they want it level front to rear would i add the difference on the front to level the car ?? For instance on the picture you posted up with heights on the 20" heights are 25mm lower so if i set it at 20 inch wheels would the heights go to 20" height even though 22s are fitted ???

Yep if you 'lie' about the height, the EAS will raise or lower the car by that much...

i.e. if you put in a height 25mm higher than reality, it will run 25mm lower after the calibration.

The L322 as standard runs 10mm lower to the rear - but this is only because of the wheel arch curve on the rear and not because the rear is physically lower....by adding 10mm to the front measurement will drop the front down by 10mm.

I do have to advise, that Land Rover choose a certain ride height for a reason, and any adjustments from this may result in either a dangerous vehicle handling wise or premature wear on suspension components.
 
Never known of such an issue...

I had issues with the activation and it turned out to be my firewall wasn't allowing the software to send the request for the license, hence I never received it...after a quick chat with the legend that is Storey Wilson all was well....

try emailing him on [email protected] I have never heard of that hotmail address....

He is very good, and I would try the above first....

Took about 3 weeks to arrive, and was sitting in customs for a week....they contact you by post to pay the import tax (around 16 quid) they then arrange to forward on the package to you.....
