Hi all, im gonna change the rear spring s on my rrc cos the back looks like its a bit low. should i put heavy duty springs on and would you change the fronts aswell

back in the day we put police spec and monroe dampers

police spec springs were great on my green 3.9efi when driving on the smoothest motorway and newly laid tarmaced A roads, but harsh with pot holes, speed bumps and even cats eyes!...

Would personally recommend std spec ones if you just replacing the rears.
As fanatic says, the monroe dampers are rather smart, but if ya replace with new rear dampers of even std issue when you do the springs you'll notice a big change. Can remember doing the same with me black 3.5EFi and it transformed the ride big time.

Thoroughly recommend new rear dampers with ya new rear springs. :)

I got Disco front springs on me 90 and putting heavy duty ones on the rear for towing.:)

I agree, stick to standard!

done it on both of mine!

Been running HD springs on my classics for 4 years now. Great for nice roads. Harsh for pot holes speed bups etc same as Police specs as mentioned by Joe. Good for off road and better than standard spec for body roll but you do lose the comfort.

If the back end is sagging then springs and shocks but also look at the self lever as it maybe fubar too
