Looks like I'm going to need a speedometer for my '87 RRC auto (my DA)
The repairers advise that my unit is totally US & after having it for 4 weeks are unable to source replacement parts; therefore they are returning my cluster & will only charge for postage.
Strange that it should pack up after only 63,000m, but then it's cable driven & the 'guts' of these things are only plastic.
Browsing the 'web reveals listings for these speedos but aside from the prices(!) I have to be careful when ordering as I'm led to believe the RR went to electronic units in Oct '89
I have used a couple of specialist breakers on the 'Bay in the past, but they both appear to have ceased trading.
Any ideas guys?
nb: I did originally contact Speedy Cables, but their turn-around was 6-8 weeks & if the parts prove to be unavailable I'm out of pocket on postage once again.
