hi all thinking off bringing my exhaust out the front and up side of windscreen like snorkel on other side I have a 3.9v8 thinking off from down pipes across by front crossmenber with a silincer box then up through wing maybe straight pipe or a small stack any thoughts or suggestions as still in thinking about it as I saw it done on a 110 and it looked ace

Would you bring it up on the outside from the underneath or try and do it through the body work and out the scuttle panel? Little difficult on a RRC as under the scuttle panel (the panel under the windscreen) is the bulkhead and footwell. So you'd have an exhaust pipe running up through the footwell.

See this picture for reference as to what is under the scuttle panel.

If you had it coming up the outside of the RRC you'd have an extra 3" on one side, plus a hot exhaust that pedestrians would get burnt on.

Hmm, Wonder what the legalities are with bringing an exhaust straight out the bonnet.
Cummins 6bt with a 5" pipe sticking out the bonnet :D

You may well laugh but there's a guy round here with a 6bt in a Bentley and that's exactly where the exhaust exits. :)

You'll loose torque if the pipe is too short, and you will need a box to create some resistance otherwise you will cook a piston. I wanted to do some zoomie pipes but my friend who builds hot rods says the RV8 needs some back pressure if you want it to survive for a while, not just a few seconds down Santa Pod.
