Hi there,
I have been finishing the restoration of my old range (RRC from 1991- 3.9 liter petrol) for 3 years, I start it from time to time but without driving it. On the other hand, I have a question about my cylinder head gasket: at start-up (quarter turn each time) and for a few seconds I have no visible smoke from the exhaust, then then moderately heavy white/gray smoke and lots of condensation. I collected today the equivalent of 15 cl in about 10 minutes at the exit of the pot. Its color is orange (my LDR is green) with a strong almond smell. I was thinking hydrocyanic acid due to poor combustion? I would like to point out that my fuel tank has been practically empty for a while, I must have had a lot of condensation inside too... maybe the explanation for this smoke, and the orange color could be oxidation? My LDR level is stable. Do you have any idea about this problem?
Thank you for your contribution.
