Hello,

I own a Range Rover Classic with a 2.5 VM diesel.

I had troubles with the bosch VE pump and replaced it. Now I want to set the pump to the correct injection timing.

To do this, the manual says you need a timing gauge(part number LRT-12-019), but I can't find a place to buy it.

Is there a method to set the pump without this gauge? Or is there a place where I can buy it?

Welcome to LZ

Putting your approx area might help, as someone might have the neccesary kit to dial in a ve pump.

On most engines it is just a timing pin, but the vm might go on lift at a certain point, hence the gauge?

Yes,

Its a plate with degrees on, 0,2,4,6 and 25 degrees. You allign the groove in the crankpully to these degrees an adjust the pump to the correct setting on your dial gauge.
