Any guesses as to what the port hole on the roof is used for? I see it all the time aroud bushy park but never get the chance to ask about it.

My guess was for culling the deer, but surely that can be done from a passenger window.
 
Yeah. If it's the ones SHB do it will have an internal winch on the bulk head too to pull the carcass into the load area.

Its not a hole.
When you open one from the outside there is a steel plate in the bottom. Under this is a domestic oven element. They use them for warming pizzas.
Its just another adaptation to make our beloved vehicle Americanized. Just like the monster truck look.
 
One round my way had a birdscarer fire from it. They could park it up and just let it fire . Wouldn't want to be a crook climbing in the hatch when it went off
