I dont know if I can post this on here but, I drive a 300 tdi but my partner drives a Rover 400 unfortunately the thing packed up, checked it out spark, fuel are there but it just turns over and wont start, its an S reg 1400, put a diagnostic machine on it and it says will not connect put another one on and says no fault code found is there a fuse or something that may stop it firing her indoors is starting to moan now, is there any one out there any knowledge of these cars, thanks in advance.

It must be compression if you have fuel and spark.
Was there any symptoms before or was it fine yesterday then won't start today?

Its been miss firing now and then so I put a new distributor cap on it but still missfiring she drove it for five miles and it cut out she left it 10 mins and started it again had to rev it like hell to make it go and it went for another 500 yds cut out and wouldnt start again.

Double check your fuel and spark. Is it a good strong spark? Are you getting enough fuel?

Coil pack, first, even if you swop for a known good one just to try it.

Scrappies for cheap bits if your short on reddies.
