Rover V8 to series gearbox

Hi, I am slightly confused after reading various forums of people doing V8 conversions.

Do you need a conversion plate to fit the standard series box?
Do you need to change the engine mounts if you use the standard series box?

I have done a 200 tdi conversion before and it just involved removing various studs and fitted straight onto existing engine mounts.

any help would be appreciated !

V8 to series box needs adaptor plate.
