Said how I love my L322 when it's working... but hate it when it's not... this is one of those times! With a good list of problems.

Td6, diesel, 2003, hse, voltages read as should (alternator charging, correct feeds etc) battery not very old and holds charge as should. Have gap diagnostics iid2 tool.

First problem. The engine has developed a horrid miss fire mainly when cold at idle. Once warmed up seems to run better. Have checked mass air flow, egr, temp sensor, fuel preasure seems to fluctuate a little when the engines not running right but sits stable at revs or once its settled down. The only thing I can find atm which seems off is the injector compensation values. Have tried changing the loom to them but had no effect. Will post screen shot of injector values after this post to see what people think. Probably going to need the injectors serviced as it's gone well past 100k miles with them never being done. Looking I guess for a reliable place I can mail them to as no were local.

Leaking water in to the boot. Have looked at roof bars, upper hinge so far but still get a pond when it rains. Seems to be water in the roof its self but cant work out if its condensation gathering from water leaking in from some other place. Rear side windows seem to be sealed.

LCM has gone pop again. Is the second time it's done this. Really at a loss to what to look at for why it's gone wrong again. Last time lost all lights in one go. This time indicators first then the lot. Any known lighting faults which cause this? Or maybe the damp in the vehicle from the water leak?

Soooooo many questions... sorry for the long post! Thank you for your patience to read this!

For the injectors, try a leak off test.
You may have mechanical issues which can ease when the injectors are warm. If in doubt, pull them out and have them tested by a specialist.
That way you can get a full spectrum of tests done at upper and lower pressures. Also the solenoids can be tested. ;)

Thank you for your reply.

Will see if I can locate a leak back test kit and have a go to see what I get.

Is no were local to me which does modern type injectors and can't really travel atm to take them anywhere. Know of any good companies which does them via post?

The next thing is to get them off to a shop who can pressure test them as well. Normally the lot are replaced or rebuilt. At what engine speed was this? :)

Test was done at tick over so somewere around 700 to 1000rpm. Forget what it sits at. With more revs the engine runs normally and the pots fill more equal.

Now starts the job of finding somewere to send the injectors too. Sadly no were local to me which does this type and cant go on a long trip to take them anywhere.

Are there any places which do them via post?

I wouldn't know anywhere in englandshire, pj Jones, diesel Bob ?
Unless someone on here over there can suggest a good shop? ;)

I have same problem w/ cold start, bit lumpy at first, until warms up. I also have problem w/ LCM and lights etc. Tbh, that's what's really most pressing to me. Did you manage to get anywhere sorting LCM? I heard it's located in the A post? Others have suggested disconnecting battery resets electrics... But clearly more permanent fix is required to establish point of ingress. HolidayChicken used to be the guy, but I'm not sure he still posts

I can't help with much here, but will give a warning. Lumpy tick over, stalling, and dodgy injectors cost me an engine.

Simply swapped the LCM. Is the second time I have done this. Still need to reprogram it in but weathers been really bad so not had chance
Same with getting the injectors sent off...

Come to the conclusion the water leak is responsible for the LCM problems as both the ones I have had break show signs of insulation break down on the electronics. Now have a heater in the range rover keeping the damp levels lower while I still try to trace the stupid leak.

Still waiting on weather for sorting the injectors. One thing in my mind is how to insure no lumps of carbon or rubbish end up in inside the cylinders on pulling the injectors out. Do have an endo scope so can at least look inside to make sure nothing dropped in.

Tape a smallish piece of hose to a hoover and clean round first and you can suck out the injector hole as well when out.

All this lockdown stuff has meant my L322 Td6 has not moved much for some time. With use, the battery seemed previously okay. I found what was triggering LCM, was caused by the battery, although only 2 yrs old (in a 4 yr warranty). Since installing new battery over 7 days ago, (including some heavy rain) have had no problems since. I did get also some dehumidifying bags to draw out moisture (intended for caravans I think).

As far as lumpyness goes, am wondering whether this may also be down to sitting around. Bc if used at all, it only going around the corner. L322's don't like this. Hence, am intending to take it on a good run at some point. Hoping a good few hundred mile blast will clear the cobwebs! Also had a rear calliper seize, another sign of sitting around too much.

I had to replace an injector a few yrs ago, they're not cheap (£200 I recall). Like avoid that unless completely necessary. Hope you get yours sorted, without too much kerfuffle.
