My 2003 TD5 Defender 110 has started to idle roughly on start up if it hasn’t run for a few day. It quickly settles to a normal idle but is this an injector issue do you think?

It could be, it could be a heater plug issue too, injector seals seem to be a common issue as well.

Have a search on here for 'TD5 starting' you will find loads of threads.
I don't have a TD5 but have seen several/numerous threads on the subject.

Air getting into fuel system another possible issue, once clear all runs fine again.
