Hi everyone, great site and thank god for it!
I have a 2001 P38, 4.6 Vogue...... great machine but recently it has become a bit of a pain. When idling both hot and cold, it runs slightly rough...... you just feel the engine through the seats. Once moving it performs perfectly alright. It has had several 'plug ins' at the dealer and never shows a fault, however it yesterday visited a none franchise specialist who claim to have a fault code for an 'IAC valve'. They unplugged the valve and it ran smoother, albeit slower and claim this needs replacing. I am no mechanic...... can someone help me and explain what this valve is and if this could cause the problem. I personally thought that it was a broken engine mount......

Thanks everyone!
Dan
