Fair enough, does anyone find that having a roof rack on makes it much noisier? (not so much I guess as you can't hear the wind over the engine past 50

I would leave mine on but as most shopping centres in london have either multi-storey parking or those annoying height restricters on the car parks I've got to keep it off until needed. pain in the @rse

Why not just put a 2" drop on the defender ? low rider then could have rack on haha !

Hey Snaggers - how do you beat the LEZ? Or is that a v8.......?

For free eh, you don't get anything for free apart from a kick in the face by the government, but then again they'd tax that too. I think I will probably keep my rack on as peoples' experience seems to show no significant distance with or without so its not worth the hassle, but thanks anyway - I'll probably change my mind tomorrow

I have a full length galv rack on my 110 - you can't get into any of the car parks around here, it further worsens the aerodynamic profile of the vehicle and cuts top speed by about 7mph and it is a pain when taking it to a pay & play side as I am always hitting trees with it.
It looks great though so that's why I keep it on

Lol I have been keeping it on for now - it weren't half windy here the other day and it shat on my MPG cant have been getting more that 14 LOL
