Fair enough, does anyone find that having a roof rack on makes it much noisier? (not so much I guess as you can't hear the wind over the engine past 50 )
I would leave mine on but as most shopping centres in london have either multi-storey parking or those annoying height restricters on the car parks I've got to keep it off until needed. pain in the @rse
Bwah-hahah! With the amount of speed bumps around Finchley and barnet, I would probably leave me TF box on top of one. Still know where to go if I need one eh! hahaWhy not just put a 2" drop on the defender ? low rider then could have rack on haha !

Well I use it for bikes and kayaks on the most part, which I dont use all the time, especially this time of year. I haven't had use for it in a while due to the season. I have seen a standalone ladder for £35 so I am strongly considering it.
i leave the cross bars on my Jeep, can hear a whistle from them now and then. line up with the abuse...
I hope you arent referring to a Land Rover as a Jeep there!
