Thank you I'll have a look in the morningIf I remember correctly, you remove the interior light and you should see the nut or bolt that holds it in place!
I think the Base needs changing as it has tape over itif you just want to take the antenna off then it unscrews from the base but you might need some pliers

As Tony said, there is a nut that can be accessed by taking the interior light fixing off the bracket it is attached to.
I think the wire is fine as the radio works fine......
If you need to replace the whole wire the roof lining does loosen off if you undo the visible bolts in the pillars and pull back the door seal.
Hopefully for just changing over the base you should be able to do it by just accessing the interior light hole though.
OK thank you for the advice...My friend had that we cleaned the base after we took it off and then some silicon did the job but watch you do not over tighten it.
