Roof bar recommendations please!

Ebay item 291080449014. I got a set a few years ago, very heavy duty - but you would need to check with the supplier that they would be ok for your tent. Mine have had some pretty heavy loads of timber on, I reckon the roof would cave in before the bars reached their limit.

Does, or has anyone had any personal experience with hd roof bars, and what make and where did you get them? Many thanks! J

Mantec roof bars are ace. I've got 5 on my 110 and they have a roof tent and storage box with no problems at all. There's loads of pre drilled mounting holes too.

I've got some Mantec ones. Very light so easy to put on single handed. Not the cheapest, but in my case they've carried loads of wood for my various shed improvement projects over the last couple of years. I don't know whether they'd be compatible with the roof tent you are intending to buy. When you drive around with them unladen they play a tune as the wind blows over the holes, which was quite disturbing when it first happened. I thought I'd lost a wheel bearing. Fortunately, as they're just bars rather than a full roof rack they can be taken off and chucked in the back when not laden. The only criticism I have is that the clamps tend to chew up the paint on the gutters, so it's difficult to keep your pride and joy looking pristine.
