My 90 has what i think are rock sliders or tree sliders....something.
SWMBO has decided when wet these are slippery to use as a step and wants me to put something on it to make it less slippery. I was thinking of a plate on the 1st bit. Checkerplate came to mind but that could well be slippery when wet. Has anyone adapted anything for this? I don't want to cover the whole slider as it will become a dirt trap and i like the look.

If using non slip tape do not take it over the outside edge. You will understand why wife/gf complaints the first time you climb out wearing shorts!

Not so good when full of mud and needs renewing every so often. Removing this tape can pull off paint/ powder coating.

Alternative is stainless steel tread plate. Will not wear out, not effected by mud, but more expensive.

I am thinking about the same problem although I don't yet have tree sliders I was thinking of a thicker tube and wrapping it in round in rubber matting, however anything grippy that sticks out stops the tree "slider" effect too. You also don't want the edge of some checker plate on the top.

The gripper tape suggested above looks good.
