if YOU think its a good deal for the money, go for it, just remember its a used vehicle so comes as is and i would save the £60 each month, that equates to £720, your excess and policy increase for an 'accidental' fire wont make yr insurance rise by that much!!

when you buy a car there will be damage to it unless its been restored/garaged all its life!

expect to shell a bit out for repairs as you will always get something that goes wrong!

and remember its a mechanical device, there will be wear in the engine, by its very design there is no way the engine will be wear free.

the whirring i would suggest is the alternator, you can test this by using a multimeter and testing for the charge rate, with the battery bieng u/s then i would say the alternator could be on its way out. easy to swap over as there is only 2 bolts and the wires and belt to undo, change the belt at the same time for the sake of £10 - £15.

the only way to say if a car will break in the future is via a crystal ball, if you get a crystal ball get the lotto numbers and then you can buy a new RR.

after all its only a car and if it breaks fix it! no use getting upset cos you can't talk/shout/cry it back to good health! so long as you can live with it GO BUY IT!!

Thanks Gav, a balanced response and good advice.
I'd never have touched a TVR and some other cars/bikes if I only went on poor reputation.
I've got it booked in for a block test for HG failure 8.30am Sat morning before parting with any cash.
A possible alternator problem is a minor concern...

Didn,t do to bad on mine then, late 99, "V" reg, (motronic injection)
airbag fault, very small scratch not even through paint,
18" huricanes, side steps, sequentual lpg kit and the best colour dark met green, all for £3500, well pleased if it would fu****g start. :deadhorse:
