...right some more P38 questions...

Maybe most people who have p38s are using an iPad to write on/view the forum. I can see both search functions. I suspect u Baker are still on windoze.

See we are quite advanced really.....

Personally I think tints are naff.
Especially "limo tints" - unless its actually a limo and you sit in the back I suppose.

:)

Wammers I thought that but no theres a forum thread search far right on second dark green bar just above the page numbers....

Yes i know but you can't use it when on Range Rover section because ad covers drop down. It's available on the other sections though.

The ad covering the dropdown should be fixed now. However, I am surprised that people think the forum search is better than the google search! The google search only searches landyzone, and produces much better results for me than the forum search.

Yep it is just tried it. But it would be better in some cases Eg EAS if there was a dedicated sticky, it is a ball ache sometimes writing the same answers down, some that maybe quite lengthy reference the same question asked over and over again.

I often find when using the search function, you have to troll through loads of answers that have no relevance to the subject you are trying to get some info on. That's ok if I've got a few hours to kill but not so good if I'm in a hurry.

And one of the best things about Landyzone is people do answer the same old questions over and over without the 'rangerovers.net' stock answer of 'use the search'

And if all we did was use the search button, there wouldn't be a forum at all. Just my 2bobs worth.

What are you on about. On RRnet click on Problems&fixes, Maintenance & repair details. You then get a choice of

General. ------Classic.------4.0/4.6.------MkIII/4.4/L322.------Sport.

Under each of those is a list.

Common symptoms and causes.

Repair operations.

Parts sources.

How much easier do you want it?

Whilst seeming rude with my "use the search" comment.
It was actually for the good of the forum because it gets boring with the same old same old.

Its even repetative when they apologise for asking about EAS or HEVAC does me swede in:doh:

I mean in the forum sections not the main page. The main page is full of very useful information on rangerovers.net

But I've seen many people ask a straight foward question in the forum to be met with the regular response of 'use the search function' Its something that doesn't happen very often on here.

Type in EAS in to the search function and you'll get a gazillion answers. Not a good example I know but narrow it down to say leaking front air spring and you might still go through 20 posts that don't really relate to your problem. Sometimes is just easier to ask the question on the forum.

But you don't need to go on the forum section, most you need is on the page i mentioned. Only thing is there is nothing on the diesels. They don't have them over there apparently. You get pictures and diagrams of most repair functions it's a god send for the DIYers out there.

....have to say to be fair that I belong to many forums for other subjects/cars and here has been particularly helpful to newbies. I do understand some old boys getting frustrated but without Dopey , Datatech and Wammers I would still own a 2.5 ton paperweight. As I get more used to the 'collective' then search functions will become invaluable, although the day I stop offering a helping hand even to a linky then that'll be the day leave...Well done so far.:tea:
