L322 Ride height sensor info for xenon headlights

Hi guys and girls
Just a heads up for early L322 owners with xenon headlamps.. Be aware RQH000091 has been marked obsolette by LR and even aftermarket are in short supply. LR are making no more and are not bringing in a replacement. I spoke to several suppliers trying to find one, and one nice chap did a search of suppliers throughout europe , on his system, and couldn't find a single solitary one. His suggestion was from now on it's probably scrappies who can help:eek:
I found two on ebay which are original and snapped them up, just in case. Even on ebay they are a hard find.

Addit: I'm led to believe this part number may also affect D3s
 
I still don't see why the headlights need to self level when the air suspension does it for them. And why is it any different to the HID's that don't need to self level so have a different sensor.

also did read that the rear suspension raises first to prevent glare from the headlights , so height sensors need to be in synch in order for that adjustment to be made on the lights as u alter the suspensions height and when driving down the road as suspensions changes so do the headlights , hope that sort of makes sense, lol

Why so varied and complicated.. What happened to one model fits all?? :(

ant that the truth , know the D3 and D4 height sensors are different but same through each model or vin

assume the FFRR are different due to the xenon’s and active damping being added
 
Certainly makes u think when u start looking at the newer made motors that’s for sure , plus think it’s 2025 when JLR go full electric

wonder if they will have the same reliability as when British leyland made motors, lol
Not that good surely? They cant' make reliable IC powered vehicles even with decades of experience, so no hope with all new even more complex EV's.

Indeed , not like many of the jap made vehicles , where the body fails before the engines do

often see results where JLR are some of the most unreliable vehicles on the road, yet we still stay loyal to the brand , dread to think what I’ve spent in the last 25 x years of owning them, yet still can’t see me buying anything else

If I had the cash, for sure i would not be driving a JLR product, I have a p38 because they are cheap and I needed a 4 x 4 to replace my worn out Hyundai. I do find the challenge of the electronics interesting though.

Thanks Gary but the last supplier I spoke to did a Europe wide search, and no-one actually had them. If you go on these sites many of them have the part listed , but then they say 'not in stock'. The 030 is readily available it is the 091 which is the nuisance for those of us with the early vehicles.
