Hi. I just purchased a Richards 110 td5 chassis. It didn't come with a gearbox crossmember. I take it that it would be advisable for me to get one rather than wait until I find out what the oem one is like on my 1999. What you guys reckon?

Depends on how quickly you are hoping to do the chassis swap. They tend to rot on the ends, the bit up against the chassis rail, as this is where dirt and moisture get trapped. So, it's difficult to judge the condition until it's off. At that age, chances are you'll be better off with a new one.

Thank you. I think a new one would be the way to go.

Yes. I collected it from terraintech on Thursday
I would measure key distances. Eg between outriggers. From rear cross member back to outriggers to see if measurements are the same on both sides and correspond to your original. I used a RC for my Def 90 rebuild and one outrigger was about 15mm out.

Thanks. I shall be sure to check this out
