Hi everyone,

Can anyone recommend a reversing camera kit please?

I'm not very handy, so am looking for a full kit i.e camera, screen and wiring.

I've got a soft top, with limited visibility, and have just had a near miss when reversing in a car park.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

You can spend a fortune on a kit however you can spend as little as £30 I think with an eBay one which does a good job,

I'm terrible with electrics but do beleive these are mostly just a plug and play thing so much easier and instruction are always provided

Im pretty certain you can get wireless ones which will be much easier for you to install

The one thing to bear in mind with all rev camera installs is you want the camera as high as possible and obviously looking down with the rear bumper/towbar just in screen view so you easily judge distances, if you have it pointing backwards with no point of your car visible on the monitor screen its almost pointless.

Not much use on a rag top I know, but being a cheapskate I bought one of those plastic lens (fresnel lens??) jobbies that you hang on the rear side window and lets you see down to the rear just by looking in the ctr mirror. Best thing about it apart from only costing a couple of beer tokens was that I could keep an eye on loads in the trailer while driving if it was an awkward load.

Hi all, sorry its took so long but it was being fitted to a project all fitted now some pics below haven't tried it yet as failed mot waiting for a recon steering box but it works in garage stays as a mirror till you select reverse and then comes on any questions just ask and I will do my best to answer. The kit I fitted was a wireless kit instructions are not to good but with help its easy to fit.
