revers mirror adjust.

Hi! when i select reverse,the passenger ext. mirror changes angle.When i change gear,the mirror should go back to the ordinary angle.Sometimes it would not return.Then i have to move the gear selector to "r" and back to "d" again,then it changes angle.Is it a switch in connection to the selector,or is it a ecu that`s the fault? Thankful for answers.

BOTH outside mirrors should turn down as you reverse. It's usually the mirror assembly that's faulty. I believe that you can turn this off.

Only the passenger side dims when reversing

Can be turned off by moving the mirror control switch to the drivers side adjust position

My problem is that when you reverse,the passenger mirror dims.When you select drive the mirror often not return to it`s position.

And it's only the passenger side that tilts i think ??? (could be wrong but that;s on mine anyway)

Yes it is only the pass. side that tilts.My car is a lhd.

Both sides dip on mine but I have found if you go from rev to drive without a pause they won't always return properly.I leave it in neutral till there fully returned .

Hi Lads! Now i found out.Fromthe failure codes it says that the vertical potmeter is defect.It is the left mirror motor that is defected.Is it possible to use a motor from a right mirror in a left mirror(lhd) ?
