Ive had a LHD '93 200tdi for 8 years and 70,000kms, probably the most reliable and abused vehicle I've ever owned.
I live in the south of France and I'm finally succumbing to the need for AC. Now I love my old beast but all that abusing has left the interior pretty tired and she needs a bit of of TLC in most areas.
I'm torn between tracking down a used LHD AC set-up (seems very rare on the 200 series) and spending a few euros on the girl to get her looking smart again or simply changing up to a slightly newer 300tdi with less miles and starting again.
So how easy is pulling the dash apart to change to AC and would a Range Rover classic unit fit straight in as they'd obviously be easier to come by?
Cheers, Nick
