bought a 2010 Range Rover vogue facelift and it has now started going into restricted proformance under medium acceleration up hills! Have plugged it into a diag and it has a fault with the map sensor the code is: p023d

Have taken both map sensors out and have cleaned them with carb cleaner to no avail have ordered a new sensor to try that. When cleaning them i noticed some oil around the right hand pipe to the intecooler is this normal or dose it indicate the pipe is split? Couldn’t see a split but didn’t want to take the pipe off as not sure I will get them back on without splitting them! Anyone had similar?

hi

i’ve heard about this code and answers , however may i first plse ask what engine/ auto/ manual , have u got in ur rangie pls

thks

Yes it’s a tdv8 and it’s auto

thks, i just happened to have come across an article ref limp mode on these

are both turbo actuator arms ok and moving freely plse

have u notice on the underside of the top engine cover an oily patch just in front of the rear rubber mounting grommets , is there any sign of oil by the EGR (grey connector)

hope that’s gives u a start

Decided to risk taking both pipes off and one had a huge split along the top! Have repaired with gorilla tape for now and it’s back to normal! So will order a new pipe on Monday

that’s great you found it , sometimes can’t see the split until i remove it

are u able to get silicone ones or will u just replace with a factory one

i’ve got a different engine in my D3 and been fitting silicone hoses , i also got some T bolt clamps to replace the jubilee clips , as they are stainless steel and wider , able to clamp the hose better

plse let us know how u get on ,plus are u able to take some pics plse , will be interesting to see

many thks

Yes will grab some pictures when I take it off again!

Not sure if I will go for the silicone hoses or will stick with factory once! Will call landrover tomorrow and get prices.
