I have a Freelander commercial2.0 litre and I am looking to get it restored I believe it is a L series engine I have owned the vehicle since 2004 it's year of registration was 2000
It has stood unused for 3 years
Cheers

Having it restored in the traditional sense will be uneconomical. You'll pay many times its value to have it restored.

There's nothing to stop you doing a basic restoration yourself though. Andyfreelandy has done this on some of his Freelander's, to good effect. ;)

As above, depends what work needs doing but it won't be cost effective to pay someone to do it.
Why not get it up in the air, spend an afternoon listing what is wrong, decide whether to go ahead and do it a bit at a time?

I have dropped all the underside components off mine, blasted, powder coated or zinc painted, re undersealed, renewed brake lines and suspension. Took about a week to do.

Then engine service, new tyres etc are all straight forward.

Thanks Andy don't seem to ever have the time and I'm not very good with mechanics but I am sure it wouldn't take much to get it sorted. Will try to send some pictures, I have been told the engine needs injectors but the bodywork is not bad
