It shouldn't matter if the fob is dead. Put the key in the lock and turn it. As for the immobiliser it wouldn't be a terribly good security system if it was that easy to bypass.I have a question - is there anyway you can disable the chip"zecuirty" (very german) in the key for a freelander 1? best one was "put the key in the steering case", but if i dont care about 'zecurity', and you just want a reliable car the wont pull any tricks on you like" ops the battery is f..ed in you fob. you are fu..ed.. etc ;-) .... can you just pull a fuse ? or?
aaaand.. if i could kill the immobilizer/fob at the same time - perfect! ;-) anyone?
