Hi and greetings from Brazil.
My disco came with the 18" allow wheels so I started to look for some inexpensive solutions to replace them with 16" wheels. Those wheels are from the Amarok truck they fitted fine with just a minor mod. Still need to get some proper steel nuts.

The tyres are pretty standard: 235/70r16 (much more comfy than the ones I was running with the 18" set).

What do you think:

My disco had bfg at 275/65r18 with the 18 wheels. The speedometer was off by 10% and I was afraid it could lead to some kind of damaga. Not sure if that makes sense.

Thinking of putting the 18 wheels back

Your speedo would certainly be out with those tyres fitted to 18" wheels. 18" wheels should have 255/55/18 tyres.

I found someone willing to exchange my 18" wheels with the 275/65r18 bfg tyres for a set of 16" wheels only (no tyres)
I can't spend any more money for the next couple of months. So I have three choices:

1) Make the exchange my 18" wheels with the 275/65r18 bfg tyres with the 16" wheels set (and use my 235/70r16 tyres)
2) Don't exchange my 18" wheels + tyres - put my 18" wheels back and run with the 275/65r18 bfg tyres (until I have money to change the tyres)
3) Don't exchange my 18" wheels + tyres - But keep running with the steel wheels and buy a 255/55r18 tyres to fit my 18" wheels

Would you exchange the 18" wheels for 16" wheels?
