The Zip file opens fine on Windows & Mac as long as the download isn't corrupt, although you cannot install on mac oSX.
- Some anti-virus programs do mess with EAS Unlock, so temporarily disable and download again.
- What version of Windows do you have ? Older versions need Winzip to extract the EXE file.
Step by Step:
- Download the ZIP file again after disabling anti-virus.
- Open two Windows Explorer windows and navigate to your Downloads folder.
- In one window double click the ZIP file.
- Then drag the contents to the other Explorer window.
- Finally run the EXE to install EAS Unlock.
Next you might have problems with the USB-Serial cable depending on where you got it from. It needs to be a non-Chinese cable from a reputable source, and you will need correct FTDI drivers and not the Windows default.
I have offered to help peeps in the past using remote access to their PC, but most get there in the end !! The remote support is approx.1 pint of Guinness per hour !!
