Hi, Thanks to everyone that gave me advice on the window problem. The only cure to stop the window falling is to diconnect the sensor in the D frame, This is a must if you are changing from soft to hard top as the movement of the hard top activates the sensor resulting in the window comeing down. The sensor is located in the right hand side frame about half way up. Hope this help someone in the future.

Thanks everyone, john barrass.:)

Hi John,

I have read your post. I'm wondering whether I am experiencing a similar problem. I took down my soft top on Saturday but when I put it back up the rear window will not go up. The manual mentions that when the top is down (out) it will not be possible to put the window up, but I have taken the roof down and put it back up again with no luck. Previous to this the rear window was working fine.

Do you have any ideas? Is there a sensor somewhere that makes the freelander believe the roof is still down?? -
Thanks
John

John,

I found the sensor, thanks to your message posted in May. I have temporarily fixed it (taping it down). I spoke to the LR Dealership and all they needed to do was point me in the right direction to find the switch, but I guess that wouldn't have been profitable for them.
Cheers
