repair panels welding

going to be plating up the disco,previous owner done a fibreglass bodge on arches looks cack..
anyway was wondering where is the cheapest place to get two rear arch repair panels(inside rear doors)a rear floor,and possibly sills,
or is it just as good welding patches on them the rear seat belt floor mounts look pretty shot,wanting this as strong as poss as got young kids...
prepared to do work myself quite keen to learn the mig,have done a fair bit gas welding in the past so should be ok...

whats your opinions on this and any info on where to get repair pannels...

If you want a decent job its new panels, I took my steps off and got somebody to make me up some box section which I used to make tree/rock sliders, slid them over the sills and bolted them on.

i found LR - Land Rover Accessories & Spare Parts the cheapest for rear arch repair panels @ £25 each dunno bout boot floor, give em a call

Yes, but he is talking about wheel arches, not sills.

I made up patches for the part of the wheel arch that is in the boot and will be covered by carpet. For the part that is exposed when you open a rear door you can get repair panels Land Rover Discovery wheel arch repair panel [MWC4840] - £35.00 : AB Parts Store, Independent Specialist Retailer of Land Rover Spare Parts
If the repair is within 30cm of a seatbelt mount then it shouldn't pass an MOT with a fibre glass repair

try YRM metal solutions on ebay, got my front wheel arches from them - very good.

yrm for me to repair panels and body mounts for all Landrovers, including Range Rover Classic, Defender, Series, Discovery
