Hi all

Have just ordered some wind deflectors for my 90, I know it's need to remove the clips that guide the window into place. Do these just pull out? Is there some trick to it! Mine seem locked in tight!

It's etiquette to introduce yourself in the introduce yourself section, before making a post. It's likened to walking up to a group of people, who are having a conversation, and asking them something without saying hello first.
Anyway, it's Christmas. Pretty sure the window guide sits under the window channel. You'd have to loosen the channel to get to it. The channel is held in by very small, black, screws. You may need to go along the top of the window and then down the diagonal section to loosen enough window guide. The screws rust in and might leave a bigger hole if/when they come out. Depends on age/rust of vehicle I suppose.
How fast are you going to need wind deflectors anyway! Bit of a show off in your first post. ;)

The window channels need to be removed, as has been said you need to remove the small screws that attach the channels to the door frame. These can get 'lost' in the felt material, so run a small screwdriver, nail etc along the channels to find any depressions where the screws may be hiding! A previous owner may have fixed the channels in place with some sort of mastic, worth bearing in mind.

Could't be bothered with all that faffing about on mine I'm sad to say, just used a little brute force and a lot of ignorance and pulled the little sods off. What I actually did was put a piece of thin-ish steel against the channel and levered against that. Ok it leaves the clip in the frame but at least when I want to change back I can find them. :)
