Well I was at my wits end at the time, bought at least two new tubes as well and got a fukcing puncture nearly every day for two or three weeks.Slim Jim - You've given me hope

Just a comment to throw in here.
I have a 130DC td5 defender - factory 7.50 by 16 heavy duty 'wolf' rims clearly stamped as tubed. There is also a code which specifies load ratings, offsets and whether tubed or not and somewhere on the files here is an explanation of the code.
I had problems with some tubes (not factory) - and the fault was with the tubes. A bad batch. Had small holes always in the sidewall - never thru the tread.
If you look closely around the wall of the tube see if you can see any very small lumps of hard carbon particles embedded in the wall of the tube. If you see these every one will become a hole. Suggest toss the tube - or if you know where it came from take them back and make suggestions as to what they can do with it.........
