I need to take my new air suspension unit off again but cannot find out how to release the push fitting. Can anyone help?

Ok so there isn't a collar. These are replacement units from Paddock spares and it seems there is no way of removing the pipe once fitted. I had to cut the pipe to get the unit back off for some welding :( Anyone know what can be done or do I need another unit. Will try Paddock tomorrow and see what they say.

WARNING - units from Paddock Spares cannot be removed once fitted. They do not have the QR collar. Had to get one from somewhere else. Brand new unit as well that had to be removed to do some welding. Extremely hacked off.

that's very strange as Paddocks are selling the same dunlop or conti stuff like others...IMO you are doing something wrong there

The ones originally fitted to the Discovery at the factory have the screw fitting.
Depending on the ones you have bought, you either need to retain the brass fitting or cut it off. Seems you cut it off before looking at your new ones.
The Dunlop ones supplied by Paddocks and others have a push fit, where the supplied fitting instructions inform you to cut the brass fitting off and push the pipe fully home.

Hardly the fault of Paddocks

If you had cut it further from the airbag you could of reconnected with 4mm coupling after welding, but you haven't left enough pipe to do that now

well the photo is of the new item. There is no collet to compress and the nut seems sealed. When I fitted it I simply pushed the pipe in as the instructions directed. So I am totally at a loss but on phoning them they said it could not be dissassembled.
