Hi All,

I've just come back from a week away to find the remote locking on my TD4 doesn't work - but only when parked directly outside my house. If I move it 10 metres away it works fine every time. I've tried both remotes with the same problem.

I'm guessing there's some radio interference causing this. I've tried switching off my wireless router to no avail.

Has anybody seen anything like this before?

Does anybody know what sort of frequency range the remotes work in?

Cheers,

Hi Graem , how long ago was yer batteries in ya fobs changed 'it is possible they are getting weak, and yer parked in a poor signal area [ie next ta yer house] ,another thing most earthlings don't know is to never say have both fobs on same ring or one on ring tother in motor,if you do decide to change the battery, with the new one fitted, and all windows shut, all doors shut ,operate fob to lock [leave for 10 secs] open with fob [leave for 10 secs] do this three times, and this will re-sync yer fob, best oh luck. . .:)

Hi ming,

I was told, and always did it so far when needed, was to hit the close knob on the fob very quickly for some 6 to 7 times whereafter it was supposed to be synchronised ??

I will try that one next time Willo, but if it gets same result , it doesnt matter. . .:)

Thanks for the replies.

I'll try changing the battery in the keyfob to see if it makes any difference. However, when the car is parked elsewhere it works from at least 15 metres away - must be some really bad interference at home.

Well give the re - sync a try 1st, UM get orft the landy zone first as can get a lot of static from this site [snort]. . .:) :) :)

Thanks Ming,

I changed the battery and resync'd the keyfob and all seems well. Oddly, the second keyfob has started working as well....

Must just be one of those things.
