Well the vehicle is in for the mapping .I have had a chat with the guy this morning and asked about mpg and he says the reason it goes up is because the engine runs more efficiently. It will be running to its proper potential rather than restricted by the factory.Apparantly there set up from new to run in any country in the world and any grade of diesel weather it be **** deisel or a better quality deisel like we use.So in effect they are set up wrong at factory for general use in the uk but ok for countrys where the diesel is poor.PS don,t shoot the messenger
Just been for a quick run on the motorway 30 mile round trip 15 mile on CC at 70mph and 15 mile back driving between 70 and 90 mph avg 34mpg
i have checked the trip computer before against the old way of fill up do 100 miles then fill up again and found it pretty accurate but i will check again
That's good. My D3 computer was about 10% optimistic.
A remap could potentially make the trip computer inaccurate.
I can squeeze up to 550 miles out of a tank full on my TD4 if I am careful.
No idea what that is mpg wise.
