Reliable Garage around York

Hi again.

It's been a while since my last post but things have changed a little now. I've sold my Mitsubishi Shogun and my Ssangyong Musso and have bought a nearly new Discovery sport which I love so We're a two disco family.

I still own my Discovery 2 Td5 auto and that is now residing in France. I am driving back to England in it this September and will be looking for a knowledgeable, reliable and trust worthy garage in the York area to undertake some work on the car, Briefly I need the air con testing and repairing as it's not holding gas, I have an on going vibration issue that is not serious but I cannot trace it. I believe it to be drive train related and there's a slight knock on the steering on left turns, amongst other things.

All simple enough stuff I believe and I have done plenty of work my self but need some specialist help now I think.

So any recommendations in the York area please would be very helpful. I'm quite prepared to travel 40/50 miles to a spot that can be relied on.

I'd vouch for Vickers 4x4 in leeming bar about 45 mins for York a landy man through n through and honest as they come been looking after my motors ages now can't fault them

Thanks for that reply, I'll give them a ring and see what transpires. I had thought that not all landy specialists might be equipped for the air con job but I suppose I could take it somewhere else for that.

Great stuff. It’ll deffo need more than just a regas though. I did that a few weeks ago and it’s all gone so it will be a repair but he sounds like the chap I need to talk to.

Might just be the schrader valves I’m not sure.
