No must say a Suffolk punch head is a lot easier. Pretty straight forwards as far as heads go. Have done many heads on many various vehicles so just another day in the office as far as i am concerned. Pretty simple.

I was meaning for us "non" mechanics? we only do it when things go wrong, not day in day out

lol ok a lawn mower engine or compressor head is about as simple as they get, but I was meaning it's not quite as easy as say an A-Series in a mini or a Spitfire 1500 with nothing in the way, you can just sit on the front wheel and work away :)

Yep, A series decoke and valve job was a pleasant Saturday mornings work. :D:D

Why would a marble going from one pipe out the other mean the rad is goosed?

Because if you look at your radiator you may notice both pipes go in at the top. Coolant goes in at the R/H side looking at car from front. And exits from L/H side. There is a baffle plate midway along the top tank that diverts coolant down the R/H side and up the L/H side. If that is missing coolant flows straight across the top and not through the rad.

Ah Cheers bud, so just turn it upside down and see if it rolls along the top and out the other pipe?

I know you've explained before wammers but I can't seem to understand it, how do I release tension to get the belt back on the water pump? I got it off by chance/force lol.. won't go back on that way :(

Is the bit circled in red here for releasing tension? As I can see it can slacken the belt a bit but won't budge enough:

How do I get the radiator itself out? Is it just the 2 bolts on the bottom sides then lift straight up?
