Anyone know where to get a reduction adapter to fit a durite electric temp gauge into a 200tdi defender?

I think its M14 1.5 thread to m8 1 thread.

Can't find anywhere that lets me specify in that detail.

Anyone fitted one and know where they got the adaptor from

If it’s a genuine defender 200tdi, not a disco, then the coolant temp sender threads are 7/16UNF, not M14. If it’s a disco 200tdi, then I think that’s 5/8UNF.

Whats the difference between UNF and NPTF? As in will UNF threat fit NPTF? Wow this this turning into a bloody nightmare. Surely it can't be this difficult. These gauges get fitted all the time. Am i missing something?

On defender does the temp sender scored directly into the thermostat housing? My has beed replace previously with a mechanical gauge and now has an adapter

my temp sender screws directly into the thermostat housing, well just below the thermostat, but same thing really. If it had an adaptor, remove the adaptor and see what thread is there.

Yeh done that, the durite sender is smaller. Will keep trawling the internet for appropriate adaptor.
