Hi everyone,
Wilfred_the_110 has broken down in Germany and I have no European cover. I need to get him back to Birmingham ASAP. Do we know and trust any recovery business. So scared to just hand over keys to an unknown entity. Recommendation required. Please help.

The gearbox is knackered so I've put him in natural on the diff. He is full of my personal belongings and I feel stuck. Any help with this will be massively appreciated.
Kindest regards Dan

You may do better to consider asking for somewhere to get a local repair. Recovery will likely be a greater cost.

+1 for trying to get a local repair/gearbox swap. I'd imagine even an Ashcroft box and fitting would be cheaper than recovery back

Even an unknow box off marketplace or similar posted over to you and a days fitting it yourself could be an option worth the gamble. Recovery will almost certainly cost more than repair.

As above, a local repair / bodge will be most cost effective, are you near the Netherlands? if so, try contacting LRCH.nl who may be able to point you in the direction of a decent workshop 'in enemy territory'. If you're determined to get it back, try shiply.com
