Hi chaps bought a 200 disco for breaking and I'm sticking the engine in the 2.5na iv just bought, because I think it will add value and I don't think I would ever need to export it,
So I have no rush for 90 to be running so I'm thinking of doing a little work on then200 before it goes in, so question is what gaskets seals and pipes and other bits should I replace before it goes back in, engine at 180k but sweetest 200 iv ever heard

You won't be able to really know what's wanted until you strip it down, for instance you might or might not need the crank reground, only inspection will tell.
When I did mine I replaced every bearing apart from the camshaft. A rebore was needed, but the crank was good. I worked on the basis that when I had it stripped down I might as well replace what I could, a small cost relative to stripping it down again if a fault reveals itself after the rebuild.
Take lots of pics as you go, it helps a lot when you're rebuilding;)

Thing is I might end up selling the truck, so I'm thinking of soaking block in diesel regrinding valves, doing shell bearings you know not a complete strip
