Recon engines

You here loads about people geting military recoditioned engines for there land rovers. Anyone have any idears where you can get hold of these? Am after a 2.5 NA diesel to put in my series 1!

What is involved in fitting a 2.5 N/A engine to a series 3 keeping the orig gearbox.....

IE, extras needed such as new adaptor plate, exhaust??? Need as much info as poss please.....

they will bolt straight in a series 3, if going in a series 2a or earlier clutch will need to be changed.

What are the benefits of a 2.5 over a 2.25? Is there a big difference?
