ive obtained a 1963 series 2 and it needs rebuilding, i have got the chance of a good series 3 bulkhead but the door hinges are different, now i know you purists like em to look original but would it be ok with the different hinges, how about a 90 front as well(joke) ;)

Go for it!

Dont forget: the windscreen hinges are different as well, so you might need to have a S3 windscreen too.
What colour are you gonna paint it? :)

right then, the ol' gurl is up on axle stands and ive been underneath with a big 'ammer, there is onepatch needed on the main chassis and the two bulkhead outriggers are shot.apart from that the chassis is in quite good condition. gonna remove the tub and seatbox so that i can shotblast the chassis.piccy's to follow.

by the way gareth it seems its ex mod, so i want to know who to contact about its history, i will get the details off the mod plate later todaym;)

Yella seen as it's ex-raf maybe try droppin a twin turbo'd jag V12 in the back  flip the axles over an she'll fly again, just remember to upgrade the drums to lwb ones.

i thought youde been busy on the old girl.

ps,
wanna hand sometime? get the beers in mate....

went and fetched me a hard top today, off a smashing bloke in chorley, i ended up coming away with a trailer full of other things as well, the back end is done now, chassis repaired, shotblasted and painted a new exhaust and the rear tub and hard top fitted, time to strike the front end, gonna remove all the front and then its bulkhead time, no major gliches so far, i'll take some more pics this week ;)

As a total newbie, how difficult is it to remove the top and back of a series landy. I'm asking as I've just got a Series III and want to clean up the chassis etc.

Thanks.
