That is the classic colour for Fields. If you google Field Spaniel, you will find they are a separate breed to cockers, springers etc... They are listed as an endangered native breed - less than 50 puppies a year. Before her, we had a working cocker and before that a springer. Both beautiful dogs, but Mabel is much more chilled out.She's beautiful, rare to have full liver with the white chest strip. Mine are the show type springers, same amazing nose sense as the workers but far less hectic and busy. Still love a ball though so highly trainable.
Field or Show, I love the breed, fabulous dogs.
I would say that they are similar to show springers, but very particular personalities. Not many people are aware of them. Apparently they were originally bred as “gun dogs for ladies”?!?
Anyway - I will get in trouble for taking up Landyzone with “spaniel talk”?!?
