My rear window on my freelander doesnt move ive sorted a new reg out the motor works but when i went to fit it it appears someone has already fitted a new reg so i still went to fit mine when i took the reg off the motor it seems there a cog missing theres only the big one that turns the worm i noticed that the reg has a spline in it and theres nothing to drive the other cables on th reg any idea whats missing

If you can hear the motor spinning but the window doesn't move then that might be it, otherwise the problem is else where. I might be wrong but I don't think the window will move if the car thinks the door is open and faulty door lock mechanisms are very common.
Is the door opening and closing OK with the interior light going out with the door closed?

Yes its fine i still think theres a pice missing ive ordered a new motor just too see i dont know if you got to see the pics i sent but ithink this is wats missing ive tried to upload it but i think its something like this .its like there no drive to the drive

If you're really stuck you can order a new regulator with motor or maybe even a motor only off fleabay or from a local scrappy.
