Hello,

My rear suspensions sometimes (intermitently) deflates when the engine is off and I notices the compressor running more often. What should I look for?

First check would be the air bags, sounds like one is leaking.Soapy water the air bags especialy the area where they fold under themselfs.Get it sorted sooner rather than later as you could burn out the compressor if left to long.

I will do that check thanks. The thing is, it is not deflating every time and it is always both rear suspensions simultanously.

As jon says, soapy water the rear bags. The reason that they are deflating intermitently could be that they have both perish in roughly the same spot, and depending at what height they are at when you stop, could enable the perished spots to be sealing themselves, it can happen.

Put it into extended ride height, spray some bubble mix all around top to bottom then look for bubble, try lowering it just a little bit then spray again and so on over and over till it reaches the bump stops.

Thanks guys. Will do! One thing I have to mention that I forgot. When I stop the car and lock the door, I sometime hear a click underneath the car and than the rear suspension deflates. This sounds like the remote gizmo to lower the rear is acting on its own. Is there something I could check? Can I disconnect this or something to check? Where would that be located? (sorry: newcomer to the Rover world)

sounds like self levelling to me

Alright on the td5 auto i had it would lower it self only when i had reversed into drive or reverse was the last gear used mine never lowered if i drove onto drive and turned it off and if i didn;t drive for a few days it would lower itself my solution was to sell it and buy a 300tdi cheaper better off road cheaper on fuel and parts not so much to go wrong.
