Technically all drs are boats lol...Stop dipping the arse in salty water when launching your boat. But rear end rust is inevitable with a D2 is in not
And my D1 after 25 years … I don’t have a boat
Technically boats do a better job of
A) coping with water.
B) keeping it on the outside.

I agree, chuck that bit in the scrap pile, with the rest of the chassis. Mine went within weeks of buying the old girl. Far too expensive to put a genuine step back on, unless you have more money than sense, or a good source of second hand parts...

found a small fab shop that will sort...... fingers crossed.....
I would have used that as a good excuse to buy a welding machine and get practicing, you will need that skill sooner rather than later

Gear grind after 1/2 chassis
Hi all, and apologies first of all. A newby!! Ive had the discovery for many years and pottered with small bits. After failings its mot i took the plunge to get the 1/2 chassis replacement ££££££ got it done Anyhow after driving away from the garage the 2nd and 4th gears were grinding when going...
