Guys, maybe someone can give me relevant advice. The trunk bench seats are not long enough and look a little funny (as if not intended for this application).

Are there any better options of such benches? At the moment I'm looking at these: https://www.paddockspares.com/320737-bench-seat-2-seater-black-vinyl.html

I wish these benches would fill nicely the whole rear wheel arch tops..

There are a couple of reasons they cannot fill the whole width of the wheel box. This first is that if they did you would not be bale to access and remove the rear light covers, and secondly before the td5 came along the fuels filler was situated at the front of the tub and had a cover which took up some more space at the front end of the wheel box. As the bench seat dimensions haven't changes since the series vehicles original they were designed to fit around these things.

However on a separate note I would try and avoid benches and instead see if you can find the individual fold up side facing seats. There are far far more comfortable and can be spaced evenly to "fill" the wheel box if that is what you are looking for.

Thanks for this informative reply, dag019!! I don't know if I should be ashamed, but I was going for these for purely cosmetic reasons (I had them before, but took them out, as they were absorbing water and creating too much humidity - bad seals between panels). Now I'm sorting those issues and wanted to make the truck look nicer in the trunk department. I wouldn't go for individual sideways facing seats, because I don't want anyone to sit in them anyway - it's too dangerous. I just want to make this truck look as good as it deserves.

Doriz, that's the setup I have right now, but it looks too barren and also small? The rear benches make it look kinda spacier and that's important to me :) I totally agree on the unsuitability for transporting passengers on them.

I’ve got 2 seater benches in mine. Agreed, not ideal. But, the fact they’ll get used 2 or 3 times a year ( for transporting nuns and weirdos in the snow) it’s mostly for the dogs. It’s just an option for “that moment”, not intended for regular use.
